Show/Hide All Player Comments Round (Overall) Pos Name College Cls Height Weight 40
Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (15th) HB Melvin Gordon III Wisconsin rJr 6'0 5/8" 207 lbs. 4.52

Analysis: Great replacement for Ryan Matthews. He's going to be a great running back in the NFL and maybe even the best running back in the draft.

Melvin Gordon III Highlights 2013

Show/Hide Player Comments 2nd (48th) OG A.J. Cann South Carolina rSr 6'3 1/8" 318 lbs. 5.18

Analysis: I loved watching A.J. Cann at South Carolina. His selection in the 3rd round reminds me of Larry Warford last year. Meaning, he's going to be a much better player than his draft selection. I have no problem taking Cann this early. I think he's going to be an anchor for years to come. After missing out on an OL in the 1st, Cann was a must pick.

Show/Hide Player Comments 3rd (83rd) NT Carl Davis Iowa rSr 6'4 1/4" 315 lbs. 5.12

Analysis: Chargers need some beef in the middle. Carl Davis provides that.

Show/Hide Player Comments 5th (153rd) 43DE Kyle Emanuel North Dakota St. rSr 6'2 5/8" 251 lbs. 4.86

Analysis: I like this kid. came from a small school so the high level of production against top level competition isn't there but he has potential and the Chargers could use another pass rusher to add to the mix.

Show/Hide Player Comments 6th (192nd) CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu Oregon Sr 5'9 1/4" 195 lbs. 4.46

Analysis: This is one hell of a slide for a guy once considered to be a high 1st round talent. The Chargers have a need at CB and it wasn't addressed at all in the draft. They take a chance on Ekpre-Olomu here in hopes he can recapture the spotlight.
