Show/Hide All Player Comments Round (Overall) Pos Name College Cls Height Weight 40
Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (21st) FS Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix Alabama Jr 6'1 3/8" 208 lbs. 4.58

Analysis: This was a no brainer for Green Bay after Calvin Pryor, CJ Mosley and Ryan Shazier were all off the baord. The Packers had to address the secondary and taking Clinton-Dix who was arguably the best safety in the draft took care of that.

Show/Hide Player Comments 2nd (53rd) WR Davante Adams Fresno St. rSo 6'0 7/8" 212 lbs. 4.51

Analysis: Smart pick for the team considering James Jones left in free agency and both Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson are free agents next season (although all indications seem to be they'll both be resigned). Many compare Adams to James Jones except Adams has better hands than Jones did coming out of college. He'll have to fight for the #3 spot on the roster but could be a surprise this year.

Show/Hide Player Comments 3rd (85th) NT Justin Ellis Louisiana Tech rSr 6'1 1/2" 334 lbs. 5.03

Analysis: Thorton was a surprise pick considering Justin Ellis was on the board. Thorton isn't a natural nose tackle and Green Bay needed someone behind BJ Raji if he didn't live up to expectations again.

Show/Hide Player Comments 3rd (98th) TE Richard Rodgers California rSo 6'4" 257 lbs. 4.82

Analysis: Richard Rodgers has been a big surprise during OTAs and Minicamp. He seems to be on the fast track to be the starting tight end week 1 in Seattle.

Show/Hide Player Comments 4th (121st) 34OLB Carl Bradford Arizona St. rJr 6'0 3/4" 250 lbs. 4.72

Analysis: A big pickup for the Packers in the 4th round as many thought Bradford would go in the 2nd round. Bradford could find a way to play behind Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers or could try to play inside which many people think he can play and get a starting job next to AJ Hawk.

Show/Hide Player Comments 5th (161st) OC Corey Linsley Ohio St. rSr 6'2 5/8" 296 lbs. 5.03

Analysis: A solid pick. Will be competing with JC Tretter for the starting center job but may have to be relied on as a backup.

Show/Hide Player Comments 5th (176th) WR Jared Abbrederis Wisconsin rSr 6'1" 195 lbs. 4.50

Analysis: An absolute steal. Abbrederis would fit right into the Packers offense, give Randall Cobb some time to rest up and is the front runner to be the teams kick returner which has been needed since Cobb was taken off.

Show/Hide Player Comments 6th (197th) CB Andre Hal Vanderbilt Sr 5'10 3/8" 188 lbs. 4.50

Analysis: Would have prefered the Packers take an experienced corner and not a project that Goodson will have to be. Hal seemed like a better choice.

Show/Hide Player Comments 7th (236th) WR Jeff Janis Saginaw Valley St. Sr 6'2 5/8" 219 lbs. 4.42

Analysis: Loved this pick. The Packers might have the deepest and most dangerous receiving corps. Janis is going to fight for a spot but he'll impress in the preseason that the coaches won't risk hiding him on the practice squad.
