Dream Draft Walkthrough

STEP 1: First things first. You'll need to be logged in and you'll need an account to do that. If you don't have an account already, feel free to sign up now and meet us back here.

STEP 2: Once you're signed in, locate the new "CONTROL PANEL" option on the far left side of the menu bar. Roll the mouse over the "CONTROL PANEL" menu option until the menu expands and shows you more options below it. Click on "Control Panel" to access the part of the site where you may participate in all of the current activities, including but not limited to Dream Drafts.

STEP 3: Locate the "Dream Drafts" section amongst the options of your control panel. If Dream Drafts are in season, there will be a link to "create a new Dream Draft." Click that link now.

STEP 4: Select "Dream Draft" from the "Draft Type" menu. This should allow you to select a team from the next dropdown menu. You may also supply a title and/or description. Both are optional. When you're done, click "Create Now" to start editing your Dream Draft.

STEP 5: Once you're on the managing Dream Draft page, you may edit your title/description or begin making selections for your draft. To begin making selections simply click on "Add Player" in the right hand "Add/Edit" column of the draft picks table.

STEP 6: To select a player, first select the position in which he plays. That will populate the "Choose Player" dropdown menu with all of the players available in the database to choose from. Once you've selected the right player from the list provided, click the "Add Player" button to finish that selection.

Note: Some players may be a part of multiple positions.

Also Note: If the player you want doesn't exist within the player database, contact us using our missing player form. Once they're verified, we can add them.

STEP 7: After you have added a player and have been taken back to the "Managing Dream Draft" page, you will be presented with two new options in the "Add/Edit" column. "Edit Pick" allows you to change your selection and "Edit Comment" will allow you to edit just the comment area.

STEP 8: If you choose to edit the pick, you will be taken back through the pick selection process from the beginning just like you did when you clicked "Add Pick." If you click "Edit Comment" it will take you to edit just the comment only with the option to edit your pick when clicking the "Edit Pick" button next to the prospects name. Click the "Save Changes" button to finalize the process.

STEP 9: To delete a selection, check the box on the right hand side in the "Delete?" column for the pick you wish to get rid of.

Note: You must click the "Update Picks" button to finalize the process.

Also Note: If you click an "Add Player" or "Edit Player/Comments" link before clicking "Update Picks" your changes won't be saved.

STEP 10: To add a selection, use the "Add Pick" form below your Dream Draft on the Manage Dream Draft page. Just select a round (and optional overall selection number) and click "Add Pick" to add a pick to your Dream Draft.

Note: You may only have up to 15 picks total. No draft in the modern 7 round era has had as many selections.

STEP 11: Once you have added a pick to every selection, a new option will present itself right next to the "Update Picks" button called "Publish Draft." Clicking the "Publish Draft" button will finalize the Dream Draft creation process and if you chose to make your Dream Draft public, will release it unto the world. Once your Dream Draft is completed you will no longer be able to edit it but you will be able to create a new one. Make sure everything is exactly as you want it to be before publishing it.
