early 1st draft with TRADES

I think you will see more trade's this year in the 1st
round than any other year to date. Many positions have
little 1st round quality, yet alot of later round
Still very early but trades are interesting!

The things that stood out to me in this draft:

Lots of trades. I think projecting trades in today's NFL draft is a must.
You know there is going to be a lot. Be creative. I liked it.

10 OL in the 1st, wowzas! I think 9 went in 2013 IIRC. That's a LOT!

Benardrick McKinney, wow. Haven't seen him so high yet. I'm assuming you
like him as a pass rusher?

Seems a bit early to give up on Geno Smith with the Jets? I know he hasn't
played well but he was a 2nd round pick (Many thought a 1st overall) just
two years ago.

MGIII in the Top 10. Didn't think I'd see a RB go so high in the draft this

I think Connor Cook is a great fit for the Rams.

Winston is very tough to fit. Top 10 talent, very so-so off the field. 8
seems good for him at the moment.

3 RB's in the Top 15. Wow to that, too.

Thanks Ramzee for your thoughts! I think teams are seeing the quality, in building a solid Oline, Dallas, Cleveland, and others. So I see the trend of drafting Olinemen contuning. The issue with the Jets Smith, is the jets grabbed him because he was still on the draft board. Much the same as the Patriots did with Mallett. Moving up to get Mariota,as the future guy to lead the team, and keep Smith, and cut Vick.
LB McKinney is not the best pass rusher, but the best all-around, LB in this years draft. He plays mostly MLB, but projects to OLB in the NFL. I will be shocked if he does not go in the top 10. I too think Cook is a great fit for the Rams, question is do you wait till the 2nd round to take him, or at least trade back in the first round? I feel very sure Minn. and Cleveland take a RB in the first round. Dallas feel's like thier team is close to a contender, look for them to pick twice in the 1st round, after a trade.

I think you're right about teams noticing quality in building solid lines.
The only thing I don't like about the Jets taking another QB so early is
you just never really know what you have until a few years go by. Smith
could be a great NFL QB in a few years, even if he looks terrible right now.
If you draft Mariota, you'll never find out or if you do find out, you have
a nice trade option in your hands if they both work out. Being able to dump
one or the other.

Check out some of WR Kevin White from West Virginia. I think you'd be
surprised with his game.

If I'm the Rams with Cook, I don't think they're so desperate for a QB they
should do whatever they can to acquire one. For a guy like Cook if he is
there, take him, if not, don't sweat it.
