Show/Hide All Player Comments Rd (Ovr) Team Pos Name College Cls Height Weight 40
Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (1st) 43DE Jadeveon Clowney South Carolina Jr 6'5 1/4" 266 lbs. 4.53

Analysis: As much as they need a QB Jadeveon Clowney is a once in decade type player at the position. With rumors that the QBs could drop they can grab one either Bridgewater, Manziel or Carr with the first pick in the 2nd round.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (2nd) WR Sammy Watkins Clemson Jr 6'0 3/4" 211 lbs. 4.43

Analysis: The Rams have some good young wide receivers but need a definite #1 receiver and Watkins is head and shoulders above all the other receivers in the draft.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (3rd) 34OLB Khalil Mack Buffalo rSr 6'2 5/8" 251 lbs. 4.55

Analysis: The Jaguars are also in need of a QB but again with the QBs potentially dropping they can grab one in the 2nd round so they take Mack who keeps moving up draft boards.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (4th) QB Blake Bortles Central Florida rJr 6'5" 232 lbs. 4.93

Analysis: Browns are too desperate for a real QB that instead of trying to get one with their 2nd 1st round pick they take Bortles who would be the week 1 starter.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (5th) OT Greg Robinson Auburn rSo 6'5" 332 lbs. 4.92

Analysis: For some odd reason the Raiders didn't resign Jared Veldheer and has left a massive hole on the Raiders offense line. Robinson is the best lineman in the draft so they take him to protect Matt Schaub's blindside.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (6th) TE Eric Ebron North Carolina Jr 6'4 3/8" 250 lbs. 4.60

Analysis: The Falcons have taken care of their biggest needs in free agency so they go ahead and take Tony Gonzalez's heir in Eric Ebron who is getting Jimmy Graham comparisons.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (7th) WR Mike Evans Texas A&M rSo 6'4 3/4" 231 lbs. 4.46

Analysis: Tampa trades Mike Williams to the Bills for a 6th round pick so they need someone opposite Vincent Jackson and taking the Megatron clone Evans would give the Bucs a fantastic receiving duo.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (8th) 34OLB Anthony Barr UCLA Sr 6'4 7/8" 255 lbs. 4.41

Analysis: Vikings decide to wait for a QB later and take Barr who could play DE, ILB, or OLB and Mike Zimmer would find a way to use him in multiple ways.

Anthony Barr vs Stanford 2013

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (9th) OT Jake Matthews Texas A&M Sr 6'5 1/2" 308 lbs. 5.07

Analysis: Best player available pick here. Matthews is an immediate upgrade over Erik Pears.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (10th) CB Justin Gilbert Oklahoma St. Sr 6'0 1/8" 202 lbs. 4.37

Analysis: With Watkins and Evans off the board the Lions focus on improving their secondary by taking the top corner off the board. Lions need to deal with Randall Cobb and Cordarrelle Patterson twice a year and need someone to run with them and Gilbert is fast enough to cover everybody.
