Show/Hide All Player Comments Rd (Ovr) Team Pos Name College Cls Height Weight 40
Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (1st) QB Jameis Winston Florida St. rSo 6'3 3/4" 235 lbs. 4.83

Analysis: Bucs go and take their franchise QB in Winston over Mariota. Winston, despite all his red flags, is more NFL ready than any other QB in the draft. Although he may be NFL ready he's still go to fix the small things that led to a very mediocre sophmore year for the Seminoles.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (2nd) QB Marcus Mariota Oregon rJr 6'3 5/8" 215 lbs. 4.52

Analysis: Jake Locker was a bust and Zach Mettenberger is a good backup at best so the Titans go and grab Mariota who may have to spend a year behind Mettenberger to learn the NFL game.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (3rd) 43DE Randy Gregory Nebraska rJr 6'5 5/8" 245 lbs. 4.76

Analysis: Jacksonville is desperate to find a pass rushing DE as Chris Clemons was inconsistent in his first year in Jacksonville and he'll turn 34 in October. The Jags take Gregory who bounced back from a poor combine at his pro day.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (4th) WR Amari Cooper Alabama Jr 6'0 1/2" 202 lbs. 4.56

Analysis: Raiders have some good #2 and #3 receivers but not the bonafide #1. They lost out on Randall Cobb in free agency so they go and grab the top receiver in the draft in Cooper who would be the go to guy for Derek Carr.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (5th) CB Trae Waynes Michigan St. rJr 6'0 5/8" 183 lbs. 4.53

Analysis: The Washington secondary is a mess and with DeAngelo Hall tearing his achilles twice he may not be back. They try to fix this by drafting Waynes who can run with the fastest of receivers and can contest for high balls.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (6th) OT Brandon Scherff Iowa rSr 6'4 5/8" 320 lbs. 4.93

Analysis: The Jets' offensive line wasn't very good this past season. The two guards, in particular, were brutal. They go and draft Scherff who's best projected to be moved inside to guard.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (7th) 43DE Dante Fowler Jr. Florida Jr 6'2 1/8" 261 lbs. 4.84

Analysis: Bears have converted to a 3-4 defense and the are expecting Jared Allen to suddenly become a standup linebacker. It doesn't sound to promising so the Bears go and take Fowler who's projected to be a 3-4 OLB and is the best pass rushing linebacker in the draft.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (8th) SS Landon Collins Alabama Jr 5'11 5/8" 215 lbs. 4.53

Analysis: The biggest need the Falcons have in their secondary is at the safety position. Dwight Lowery is a free agent, so if he's not retained, a safety is needed next to William Moore. They grab Collins who is the #1 safety in the draft.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (9th) 34DE Leonard Williams USC Jr 6'4 5/8" 298 lbs. 4.88

Analysis: Johnathan Hankins was a stud this past season, but he had very little help next to him. Luckily for the Giants Leonard Williams falls right into their lap and him and Hankins could give the NFC East offenses nightmares with both of them rushing up the middle. Williams of course would convert to a 4-3 DT

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (10th) OT Andrus Peat Stanford Jr 6'6 5/8" 312 lbs. 5.28

Analysis: Jake Long has discussed retirement because of his injuries. The Rams can't count on him playing. They draft Peat here to help rebuild an absolutely terrible offensive line.
