Show/Hide All Player Comments Rd (Ovr) Team Pos Name College Cls Height Weight 40
Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (1st) QB Marcus Mariota Oregon rJr 6'3 5/8" 215 lbs. 4.52

Analysis: This week I have Washington trading up to get Mariota. The Raiders are happy with QB Carr, so trading here to get some players to help Carr looks smart. Washington sends thier 1st pick, and QB Kirk Cousins, and RB Roy Helu to the Raiders to move up and get Mariota. QB Cosins "Fits" the O with what QB Carr is running so is depth. Helu adds a good RB in the passing game wich should help, and the Raiders still get an early 1st Pick.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (2nd) 34DE Leonard Williams USC Jr 6'4 5/8" 298 lbs. 4.88

Analysis: I think Coach Lovie Smith wants to get Williams over Mariota, so is happy to get a strong D player.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (3rd) HB Melvin Gordon III Wisconsin rJr 6'0 5/8" 207 lbs. 4.52

Analysis: I think Tenn. and Minn. want RB Gordon, but Minn. is willing to trade up and give Tenn. thier 1st, 3d and 1st next year to get him. It's just TOOOOO good a deal so Tenn. moves back into Minn. 1st round spot and gets an early 3d and a big 1st next year.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (4th) WR Amari Cooper Alabama Jr 6'0 1/2" 202 lbs. 4.56

Analysis: Jacksonville has thier future QB so time to get him some help. they could go OT here but Cooper seems to good to pass on.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (5th) QB Connor Cook Michigan St. rSr 6'4 1/4" 220 lbs. 4.89

Analysis: I Like QB Cook an even tho this maybe early for him, the Jets are wise to grab him, here and not give-up draft picks to try and get QB Mariota. The Jets don't have a bad team, just need a few players, and QB Cook is a good start. QB Smith and Cook will play and QB Vick is gone.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (6th) OT Brandon Scherff Iowa rSr 6'4 5/8" 320 lbs. 4.93

Analysis: Well I think the Raider did well, getting players from Washington, and this pick to get the best OT in the draft. Scherff could move to OG but ethier way a quailty Olineman here.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (7th) MLB Benardrick McKinney Mississippi St. rJr 6'4 1/4" 245 lbs. 4.58

Analysis: The Giants have a few needs, but McKinney maybe the best LB in the draft so he should help the D.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (8th) OT La'el Collins LSU Sr 6'4 1/2" 315 lbs. 5.12

Analysis: Carolina needs to up-date thier Oline and Collins is solid, they could go OT Peat here as well, but I like Collins alittle better.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (9th) OT Andrus Peat Stanford Jr 6'6 5/8" 312 lbs. 5.28

Analysis: Atlanta has many needs on D, but it's hard not to take an Olineman to help thier QB play.

Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (10th) WR Jaelen Strong Arizona St. rJr 6'3 5/8" 212 lbs. 4.55

Analysis: Here again I think Tenn. is OK with QB Mettlenbergger, so they add a playmaker WR to help the O.
