Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (28th) 34DE Datone Jones UCLA rSr 6'4 1/8" 280 lbs. 4.84

Analysis: Datone had a pretty impressive combine and would allow Derek Wolfe to move inside to 3 technique while Jones plays LDE.

Datone Jones Highlights

Show/Hide Player Comments 2nd (28th) NT Brandon Williams Missouri Southern St. rSr 6'1 7/8" 341 lbs. 5.10

Analysis: Williams is not only a massive run stuffer but he also shows some burst and can push the pocket, putting him at 1 technique would solidify the d-line rotation with him, Wolfe, either Vickerson or Bannan or both, and Mitch Unrein.

Show/Hide Player Comments 3rd (28th) WR Josh Boyce Texas Christian rJr 5'11 1/8" 203 lbs. 4.54

Analysis: I think Boyce just boosted his draft stock with a very good combine showing. Boyce runs crisp routes, displays excellent hands and has a knack for getting open out of his breaks with his excellent burst. He would be an excellent replacement for Stokely as Stokely gets ready for retirement.

Show/Hide Player Comments 4th (28th) HB Christine Michael Texas A&M Sr 5'10 3/4" 220 lbs. 4.49

Analysis: Denver's staff appears to have an interest in Michael and although he might require a small trade up he would be worth it with his excellent combination of size and top end speed.

Show/Hide Player Comments 5th (28th) WR Chad Bumphis Mississippi St. Sr 5'9 3/4" 200 lbs. 4.46

Analysis: Denvers front office also has shown interest in Bumphis having interviewed him at the east west shrine game. Bumphis would be a good fourth receiver because he is quick and can catch the ball well in traffic and has some elusiveness after the catch.

Show/Hide Player Comments 7th (28th) OG Eric Herman Ohio rSr 6'4 1/2" 321 lbs. 5.23

Analysis: Denver will most definitely be going for offensive line depth at some point and although I don't think Herman will necessarily be the guy he would fit the bill for what Denver will need or be looking for.

It seems like Denver has been drafting/collecting high round defensive linemen for forever! Hopefully after your draft they can be done for a while lol. There seems to be some really good depth at running back this year. There will be some guys like Michael that will be available when in hindsight you might look back and think they shouldn't have been.
