No title provided.

In this draft Denver trades it's fourth round pick to Tampa Bay for their two fourth rounders (the second came from NE for Talib) and the seventh rounder they got from Chicago, according to the trade value chart Denver gave up 132 pts and TB gave up 130 making it a fair trade.

Round (Overall) Pos Name Cls Height Weight 40 College
Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (28th) NT Jesse Williams Sr 6'3 1/4" 320 lbs. 5.28 Alabama

Analysis: I like Williams and he would give Denver a run stuffing 4-3 NT with the ability to collapse the pocket from the middle.

Show/Hide Player Comments 2nd (28th) 43DE Tank Carradine Sr 6'4 5/8" 265 lbs. 4.75 Florida St.

Analysis: Assuming Wolfe moves back to DT then that eaves a hole at LDE with Hunter coming back from a torn tricep and Ayers not showing anything special. Carradine is strong against the run and adequate as a pass rusher.

Show/Hide Player Comments 4th (13th) WR Ryan Swope rSr 6'0 1/4" 204 lbs. 4.52 Texas A&M

Analysis: Swope is built like a RB and runs like one as well, he runs crisp routes and has very good hands making him an excellent understudy for Stokely.

Show/Hide Player Comments 4th (28th) HB Dennis Johnson rSr 5'8 1/8" 212 lbs. 4.52 Arkansas

Analysis: Although Johnson isn't overly powerful or exceptionally fast he runs hard and makes explosive cuts. He also can pass block and catch the ball well. Denver would bring him in as a cheaper replacement for Moreno and McGahee.

Show/Hide Player Comments 4th (29th) CB Dwayne Gratz rSr 5'11 1/8" 200 lbs. 4.45 Connecticut

Analysis: Gratz has NFL Size agility and Speed he just needs to be more refined and play under better control. With Bailey and Harris tutoring him he could become an effective number one corner in the NFL.

Show/Hide Player Comments 5th (28th) SS Duke Williams Sr 5'11" 201 lbs. 4.46 Nevada

Analysis: Williams is small for an NFL safety but what he lacks in size he makes up for in elite closing speed and aggresiveness, Williams would be perfect for Denver because he has the speed and fluidity to play FS or slot corner in a pinch providing quality depth across the defensive backfield. He would be a special teams starter from day one and could come in in three safety sets and as a fifth corner.

Show/Hide Player Comments 6th (28th) WR Chad Bumphis Sr 5'9 3/4" 200 lbs. 4.46 Mississippi St.

Analysis: Bumphis is a quick slot player who is fearless over the middle he would come in as a second slot receiver allowing Denver to go four deep at WR and giving the offense more options as well as giving Denver a quality backup kick and punt returner.

Show/Hide Player Comments 7th (20th) OG Jeff Baca rSr 6'3 1/4" 298 lbs. 5.02 UCLA

Analysis: I don't actually care who is drafted here but I think Denver will go for interior and exterior O-Line depth in the later rounds.

Show/Hide Player Comments 7th (28th) CB Brodrick Brown rSr 5'7 3/4" 185 lbs. 4.45 Oklahoma St.

Analysis: I like Brown as exclusively a special teams player because of his smaller stature, he also understands what it means to be an excellent scout player and what it does for a team.

I really like a lot of what you have going on in the first five rounds. With the exception of Gratz, only because I haven't had a chance to see him yet. I think Dennis Johnson will be a steal for somebody if he goes that late. Carradine would have went higher too before his injury. They say Swope will run faster at the combine than his listed time on the site. He might end up improving his stock some.
