Early 2016 Ravens Draft

This is an early draft. I am using the CBS Sports Big Board to determine which players would be available on any round plus position during the draft. (For example any player listed seven or higher on the CBS Sports big board would be available to the Ravens for their first pick)This is not an optimistic draft, I have the Ravens picking seven with two fourth round comp picks

Show/Hide All Player Comments Round (Overall) Pos Name College Cls Height Weight 40
Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (7th) CB Vernon Hargreaves III Florida Jr 5'10 3/4" 198 lbs. 4.49

Show/Hide Player Comments 2nd (7th) 43DE Shilique Calhoun Michigan St. rSr 6'5 1/8" 252 lbs. 4.78

Analysis: I know Ravens do not run a 43 D. My Pick really is CARL NASSIB Penn State. I am looking for pass rush. Carl Nassib has been very productive. He has 18 sacks for a major program. He is among the leaders in TFL. Even if Suggs returns both he and Elvis are over thirty and I am not sure either of their replacements is on the team now.

Show/Hide Player Comments 3rd (7th) WR Sterling Shepard Oklahoma Sr 5'10 1/4" 192 lbs. 4.52

Analysis: This Draft assumes Smith Senior is not returning. Sterling Shepard is 5/10 193. He is tough and productive. He is a smaller back but has shown good routes and the ability to get open.

Show/Hide Player Comments 4th (7th) WR Tajae Sharpe Massachusetts Sr 6'2 3/4" 200 lbs. 4.56

Analysis: Tajae Sharp is a big fast receiver 6/4 4 40 (yard dash 4.48 found on one site)
He played well against Notre Dame

Show/Hide Player Comments 4th (31st) OT Tyler Marz Wisconsin rSr 6'6 3/4" 318 lbs. 5.34

Analysis: Comp. assume ravens are unable to meet KO's market price and need to add O lineman. Tyler is Wagner's replacement at Wisconsin. Tyler has been playing Left Tackle for the past two years. Hurst as been working hard but I do not believe he is the next starting Left tackle for the Ravens.

Show/Hide Player Comments 4th (32nd) OT Le'Raven Clark Texas Tech rSr 6'5 1/8" 316 lbs. 5.16

Analysis: Comp Pick I am not sure how many Comps the Ravens will get but I believe they will at least qualify for 2 fourths. Le Raven Clark ( hard to pass up on the name) Le Raven is also playing Left Tackle for Texas Tech. He has played guard also. Ravens many times select Left Tackles and move them around the O line. As I said earlier I believe we will not be able to pay KO the asking price. I think we will look to replace KO and upgrade Hurst. If Urshel replaces KO at guard, these two are the possible back ups.

Show/Hide Player Comments 5th (7th) CB Cameron Sutton Tennessee Jr 5'11 5/8" 189 lbs. 4.54

Analysis: Cameron Sutton will be gone by the 5th round. Camernon is a good corner back and an excellent return guy. So my pick here is WILLIAM LIKELY defensive back from MARYLAND. WILLIAM LIKELY is undersized 5/7/ 175.

WILLIAM LIKELY is an explosive KICK and PUNT returner He is in the top three nationally for combined KO and punt returns. He has returns for TD's in both categories.

WILLIAM LIKELY is also a very good DB. 2014 Stats= Tackles 66 - TFL 4 - Sacks 1 - Interceptions 6

He is on the ACC academic team
