Show/Hide All Player Comments Round (Overall) Pos Name College Cls Height Weight 40
Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (27th) CB Marcus Peters Without rJr 5'11 1/8" 193 lbs. 4.52

Analysis: Top CB in the 2015 draft. His stock will slide due to off the field issues revolving around confrontations with the coaching staff. If available at 27, he will be an instant upgrade over Brandon Carr and Mo Claiborne. Carr may become trade bait on day 2 of the draft if Dallas invests their first pick on a CB.

Show/Hide Player Comments 2nd (28th) UT Grady Jarrett Clemson Sr 6'0 5/8" 295 lbs. 5.03

Analysis: Grady Jarrett is a perfect shade-nose fit for teams looking for a disruptor in a one-gap, penetrating front such as Dallas likes to run. His constant motor makes him an ideal fit to shoot the gap and collapse the pocket allowing the DEs to make a play.

Show/Hide Player Comments 3rd (27th) FS Eric Rowe Utah Sr 6'1 1/8" 205 lbs. 4.49

Analysis: Eric Rowe has the size and speed to play the center field FS role that Dallas has been missing in their defensive secondary. He will allow Dallas to play with 3 safeties in their nickle and dime packages pushing Barry Church into a hybrid LB role allowing him to play closer to the line. Rowe is very physical and has good playmaking ability after an interception or fumble recovery.

Show/Hide Player Comments 4th (28th) HB Mike Davis South Carolina Jr 5'9 1/8" 216 lbs. 4.52

Analysis: Mike Davis is a work horse runningback. The more he gets the ball the better his plays. Davis has a second gear that makes him dangerous behind Dallas' offensive line. He also has the ability to play on third downs making him a very well rounded back. His draft placement is based on his conditioning concerns.

Show/Hide Player Comments 5th (27th) WR Ty Montgomery Stanford Sr 6'1 5/8" 215 lbs. 4.46

Analysis: Ty Montgomery is not a stellar WR by any stretch of the imagination. He needs to be more consistent in running routes and making the catch when he receives his opportunity. However, he is an excellent return man. With the loss of Harris in FA Dallas is in dire need of a PR/KR. One of Dallas' strengths in 2014 was their ability to control field position within a game via their return specialist. Montgomery would be a fitting replacement to Harris.

Show/Hide Player Comments 7th (19th) 34OLB Frank Clark Without Sr 6'1 1/2" 276 lbs. 4.68

Analysis: Frank Clark is another player with off the field issues that will crash his draft stock. He is a downhill defensive end who can play on the other side of the line of scrimmage. Has the power to control the edge and is able to disengage and finish as a tackler. Fires out of stance with good burst upfield as pass rusher. Keeps pad level low and converts speed to power. Gets shoulders turned when he rounds corner as pass rusher, gaining leverage advantage. Clark has some explosive qualities and power to his game, but with big questions. Clark will be looked at as a 34OLB but can also play the DE effectively.
