Show/Hide All Player Comments Round (Overall) Pos Name College Cls Height Weight 40
Show/Hide Player Comments 1st (14th) TE Eric Ebron North Carolina Jr 6'4 3/8" 250 lbs. 4.60

Analysis: I know we Help along the offensive line, But I love the idea of Being able to draft a fast, strong TE with the ability to help assist on the line , while also being an elite passing option for Eli. It worked fairly well the last time we took a Receiver from Unc.

Show/Hide Player Comments 2nd (14th) OT James Hurst North Carolina Sr 6'5 1/4" 296 lbs. 5.59

Analysis: Might as well stay at the same school and add chemistry along with much needed help.
Hurst looks the part of a Left Tackle, But even if we decided to keep Beatty at LT. Hurst could start from day 1 at RT and allow us to move Pugh to either guard position.

Show/Hide Player Comments 3rd (14th) CB E.J. Gaines Missouri Sr 5'9 5/8" 190 lbs. 4.51

Analysis: Most people will just talk about how he played against WR Mike Evans,, But even before that game , I really like the fact that E.J can play both Press coverage and zone extremely well.. He might not even make it to the 3rd-- But him and Prince could help solidify the two true CB spots. Then we can decide what to do with Terell, Ross, Hosley(nickle) and Webster.

Show/Hide Player Comments 4th (14th) OG Chris Burnette Georgia rSr 6'2 1/2" 303 lbs. 5.47

Analysis: Slide him into RG.. Keep C Bass again for 1 more season ((Then Take Hrnoiss Grasu in 2015)). Hope Snee plays again.. And also Keep David Diehl because he still has ability to play 3 positions on our line, If we needed him to.

Show/Hide Player Comments 5th (14th) CB Keith McGill Utah rSr 6'3" 211 lbs. 4.51

Analysis: I think he might be a sleeper. Injury prone in college, but coming off a year in which he has be able to showcase himself with his range in a secondary. Could be used in several types of packages with these newer spread formation especially with RG3 and Chip Kelly in our division.

Show/Hide Player Comments 7th (14th) OC Jonotthan Harrison Florida rSr 6'3 1/2" 304 lbs. 5.15

Analysis: I think our 6th rounder will go to Carolina for Beason. Which is fine for me, Considering we have found our Middle linebacker going forward for the future.. No Doubt we keep his contract, Right?
Adding Harrison would give us another road grinder from the SEC.. Never a bad thing !

I like the emphasis on getting some help along the lines and sticking with it as a theme to the draft. Eli definitely needs some help back there. It's never popular to go line, line, line but you gotta do what you gotta do to improve the team and win.

Thanks.. Yeah, It seems like the Giants just lack something in both of the trenches.Maybe a complete overhaul with the exception of Pugh and Beatty. Maybe a few new younger (talented) players might Help..
Even for the Defense, Maybe moving Justin Tuck inside again on the D-line could work.

Justin Pugh turned out to be what everyone thought he was pre-draft, an OG. I agree, you need some help out on the edges, although like you said, Beatty is worth keeping around a little longer.

At #14 I'd think Jace Amaro has a chance to still be on the board. Do you prefer Ebron over Amaro?

I would hope both could be there, But my scouting for them:
Ebron - Reminds me of Vernon Davis. But with no red flags or Selfish problems
Amaro - Plays like Jason Witten . Just solid.
-But Knowing the Giants and Kevin Gillbride, They would probably misuse both.
I like the safer choice, So even though I mocked Ebron, now I think I would prefer Jace Amaro if choosing between them at #14 or lower

lol I would hope they wouldn't misuse a guy, especially if they drafted him at #14. You'd think in this day and age, especially in the NFL, this wouldn't happen but yet it continues to. Rams had an identity crisis earlier this year when they signed Jared Cook and drafted Tavon Austin. It happens!

I like Amaro too preferably but either would be good.

Agree with what you said about the Rams.. Fortunately for them, those extra draft picks will help them out..
Where as , We draft a running back in the 1st last year.. And his career is now in jeopardy-
And I really wanted Cordy Gleen, Coby Fleener or Peter Konz in the 1st that year too. Damn !

That's really unfortunate about Wilson's spinal stenosis. I really liked watching him play at VT. He always generated lots of yards after contact. All of those substitutes would have been good too.
