Lotulelei is coming in at a svelte 315 lbs after trimming down in the off season. He is extremely powerful and quick for a man his size. Star consistently jolts linemen on first contact with his heavy handed play. He plays with good leverage and arm extension. He has a very effective bull rush, showing the ability to eat up the QB's cushion in the pocket by driving blockers into the QB's lap.

He can stack the point of attack and make plays, shedding blocks, on runs right at him but can get washed down the line of scrimmage on plays, leaving gaping holes in the middle of the defense, when double teamed. Best fit looks like as a NT in a one gapping 4-3 defense.
