Tavon Austin is an undersized, explosive wide receiver from West Virginia. The first things that jump out on film of Austin are his movement skills. His movement skills are extremely unique and rare. The cuts he can make, his ability to stop and start on a dime and his peripheral vision will make your jaw drop at times. He is very arguably the most dangerous player in this draft with the ball in his hands. Austin also has the ability to turn the corner or turn up-field and outrun everyone on the field. He possesses explosive burst and great top end speed. As a pure receiver, Austin needs more development. He will drop some passes although he has shown the ability to attack the ball away from his frame but he still has a small catch radius due to his lack of size. His route running ability also needs polish but he shows the ability to run double moves and make cuts on a dime. He has not shown any issues, though, tracking the deep ball and seems to be an adept deep threat which is rare for a slot WR.

Austin is very arguably the most dynamic and versatile wide receiver in the 2013 NFL Draft. He has shown the ability to line up as a HB, flanker, slot WR and return both kicks and punts. He can really do it all as a player. While his lack of size will definitely hold him back in terms of draft stock, his unique and rare skill-set should get him a lot of looks in the late first round. Austin has the type of potential as a weapon and match-up nightmare that will intrigue a lot of NFL teams.
